A butt fat grafting procedure is one wherein fat is transferred from a different part of the body to your buttocks. This excess fat is used to create a more voluminous shape of your buttocks with natural-looking results. A butt fat grafting procedure does not use artificial fillers or implants and is a long-lasting option to produce a more voluptuous looking buttocks.
The Procedure:
This procedure involves a three-stage process wherein your surgeon will remove the fat from a different area of your body using liposuction, process and purify the fat cells to remove impurities, and then deposit the purified fat cells to your buttocks.
The Recovery:*
Patients typically report some soreness where the fat is harvested via liposuction and in their buttocks where the fat is transferred. It may be uncomfortable to sit for the first few days after your grafting procedure and you will be advised to avoid sitting as much as possible. Patients are generally able to return to work after a week’s recovery time, although full recovery may take several weeks.
You will also be advised to wear a compression garment for six weeks after your fat grafting to help with swelling.
