Artemedica is proud to offer our Santa Rosa clients a brand new non-surgical treatment: Liquid Rhinoplasty (the no knife nose job). Using many of the known and trusted dermal fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm, it is possible to create smooth and desirable contour in the nose without ever having to commit to surgery.
How It Works
The same hyaluronic acid fillers used to add volume and definition to lips and cheeks can also be used to change the shape and appearance of the nose without ever going under the knife. With a skillful application, fine contour and symmetry of the nose may be achieved. Even though you’re technically adding volume to your nose, smoothing out a bump in the bridge or lifting the nasal tip will create the appearance of a slimmer, refined, and balanced nose.
Who Is a Candidate?
The right candidates are those with minor dorsal humps (the bridge between the tip of the nose and your face) and other asymmetries around the nasal tip. Liquid Rhinoplasty can also help to correct nasal fracture deformities due to injury to the nose.
It is important to remember that Liquid Rhinoplasty does not reduce the size of the nose or permanently alter the nose in any way. But rather it reduces the visibility of minor bumps and dimples. Consider Liquid Rhinoplasty as long-lasting contour makeup that will give the appearance of a perfectly straight and subtly slimmer nose.
What To Expect
The procedure itself can be performed in as little as 15 minutes and is made virtually painless by the use of a topical numbing cream. Much like the injection of other dermal fillers, a slight pinch or pressure may be felt. The filler will be administered and shaped in small doses until the desired outcome is achieved. A skilled and experienced practitioner (like Dr. Lacombe) will only use the minimally required quantity of filler to ensure a subtle and natural looking outcome.
After the procedure, there will be ZERO recovery time and you will be able to get right back into your daily routine. The results of the procedure are immediately clear and visible.
After treatment, it is advised to not apply any unnecessary pressure to the treated areas for 2 weeks to avoid moving the filler.
How Long Will It Last?
A Liquid Rhinoplasty procedure can last up to 12 months depending on the individual due to the different rates our bodies can metabolize the filler. Also, depending on which fillers are used, the treatment is reversible if the outcome is not satisfactory.
Liquid Rhinoplasty is a great way to test the waters if you are considering a surgical procedure down the road.
