Education and History
After graduating from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, she went on to complete a residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. During her Ophthalmology residency, Dr. Chiang studied and treated thousands of patients with general and cosmetic ophthalmology problems.
Following residency, she was chosen for the Mt. Sinai Vitreo-retinal Surgical Fellowship. The fellowship enabled her to focus in greater depth on diseases and surgery for the retina, macula, and vitreous. Dr. Chiang’s experience and interest lies with patients suffering from diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. For 18 years, Dr. Chiang treated both general and cosmetic ophthalmology concerns. In 2018, Dr. Chiang closed her Ophthalmology practice to focus solely on cosmetics.
Today Dr. Chiang sees patients for cosmetic treatments such as Laser Treatments, Botox and Injectable Fillers. In addition, she performs blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).
In 2011, Dr. Lacombe and Dr. Chiang began planning Artemedica, a center of medical excellence that includes Plastic Surgery, Laser Treatments, Injectable Fillers, Non-Surgical Cosmetic Treatments, Aesthetician Spa Services and a Skin + Sun Bar featuring medical grade skin care and sun protection products. Artemedica opened in 2011 and we have a team of talented professionals that have been assembled in one location to provide an unparalleled experience in northern California.
Outside of the practice, Dr. Chiang enjoys spending time with her two children, Victoria and Max, and husband, Victor Lacombe, M.D., doing things such as skiing, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, traveling, gardening and reading books.
