CoolTone by CoolSculpting is the latest addition to the Allergan portfolio of body contouring and muscle enhancing procedures. Because sometimes you need an extra hand when it comes to achieving your muscle definition goals. For those stubborn areas, CoolTone directly targets those muscle fibers, stimulating them to grow and thicken to reveal more defined, sculpted muscles. Benefits include:
CoolTone tones, firms and strengthens muscles
CoolTone is an innovative body contouring and muscle enhancing treatment that uses Active Magnetic Pulse stimulation to trigger muscle growth. This magnetic muscle stimulation induces powerful muscle contractions that the body could not otherwise do on its own. And this in turn causes muscles to grow, thicken and strengthen. Patients schedule treatments at Artemedica to target their:

When it comes to CoolTone, each treatment is unique to the individual patient. First, Dr. Lacombe will meet with you to discuss your cosmetic goals. He’ll assess whether you’re a candidate for CoolTone and develop a personalized treatment plan for you. Ideal candidates are healthy women and men already near their target body weight who want to improve their muscle tone and definition. Please note that unlike CoolSculpting, CoolTone is not designed for fat reduction, but rather muscle enhancement.
Once Dr. Lacombe has created your unique treatment plan and its finally time for your appointment, one of our fully certified technicians will check you into our award-winning, state-of-the-art surgical suite. They will then place the applicator on the target area. The applicators use magnetic muscle stimulation to cause involuntary contractions in the treated area. During treatment, you will feel a series of involuntary (deep) muscle contractions over the targeted area that will last for a few seconds followed by a period of rest. The intensity of these contractions range from 1-100%, depending on patient’s tolerance.
With CoolTone, there’s no surgery, no anesthesia, and no invasive techniques whatsoever, so there’s little to no downtime. In fact, most patients return immediately to work following treatment. You may experience some muscle pain several hours after a treatment session however. But this should dissipate with time.
Over the following weeks, you’ll notice that treated areas will be more toned, firmer, and you will feel stronger. Results take roughly 2 to 4 weeks to appear, and your body may continue to experience progressive muscle improvement over the following 6 months. However, it’s important for you to maintain your physique. Because CoolTone simulates natural muscle growth, you can readily lose any results if you fail to keep up a healthy diet and lifestyle. The only way to keep your new muscle mass is to use your muscles, and the best way to do so is with consistent strength training.

CoolTone Frequently Asked Questions
What is CoolTone?
CoolTone is a revolutionary answer to near-instantaneous muscle growth. Using magnetic muscle stimulation, CoolTone can stimulate targeted muscle fibers to strengthen, tone and become firmer.
Is CoolTone safe?
Yes. CoolTone is FDA-cleared to tone, firm and strengthen muscles in the abdomen, glutes and thighs.
How does CoolTone work?
CoolTone is an innovative body contouring and muscle enhancing treatment that uses Active Magnetic Pulse stimulation to trigger muscle growth. This magnetic muscle stimulation induces powerful muscle contractions that the body could not otherwise do on its own. In laymen’s terms, CoolTone simulates rigorous strength training exercises to affect targeted areas causing subsequent muscle growth and firming.
How long will my results last?
Results take roughly 2 to 4 weeks to appear, and your body may continue to experience progressive muscle improvement over the following 6 months. However, it’s important for you to maintain your physique. In other words, use it or lose it.
How is CoolTone different from CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is a proven approach to fat reduction using crypolipolysis. It works by gently freezing targeted fat cells in the body to induce a natural, controlled elimination of fat cells, and it has already become the #1 non-surgical fat reduction treatment used by doctors. CoolTone compliments the results of CoolSculpting by increasing muscle mass and toning existing muscles.
Can I get CoolTone and CoolSculpting at the same time?
It is not recommended for patients to get CoolTone at the same time as CoolSculpting. For best results, you should complete your provider’s designated CoolSculpting treatment plan before you pursue complementary CoolTone treatment. Ideally, you should schedule any CoolTone sessions 30 days after your last CoolSculpting session.
How much does CoolTone cost?
The total cost for your CoolTone will depend on how many targeted areas you want to treat and your desired results. During your consultation, we will discuss your cosmetic goals and treatment plan so you know how much your unique procedure will cost and why.
