On the day of your appointment, one of our trained clinicians will draw a small amount of your blood—typically from your arm. This blood is then spun in a centrifuge for approximately 10 minutes in order to separate out the platelet-rich plasma from the rest of your blood. Your specific PRP sample is then injected into the scalp after numbing with a local anesthetic. Treatment generally takes less than an hour. Recovery after your PRP treatment
PRP hair restoration requires no downtime, similar to having your blood drawn at the hospital. You may feel some discomfort around the injection site once the local anesthetic wears off.
