Quick and Comfortable Appointments

Depending on your treatment plan, you can expect your appointment to take between 15-30 minutes. Obagi MagIQ is formulated with lidocaine to minimize pain during the injection process. Your specialist will first make an initial injection to let the lidocaine take effect. If requested, we can also apply a topical numbing cream and/or add pro-nox to ensure maximum comfort during treatment.

Once the numbing has started working, your provider will proceed with the rest of the treatment, injecting the filler in small amounts until the intended result is achieved. After, they may gently massage the treatment area to help the product integrate and settle.

Guided Aftercare and Recovery

Do not use if you have had previous allergic reactions to hyaluronic acid-based fillers, have severe allergies that required in-hospital treatment, are allergic to lidocaine or gram-positive bacterial proteins used to make hyaluronic acid, are prone to bleeding, or have a bleeding disorder. Do not use Obagi MagIQ while pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you are planning other cosmetic treatments (such as lasers and chemical peels) as there is a possible risk of inflammation at the injection site.
