Benefits of Vbeam Laser Treatments:

What is Vbeam Laser?
Vbeam is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive pulsed dye laser that helps reduce visible redness, calm inflammation, and restore a more even skin tone on the face, neck, and chest. It’s widely considered the gold standard for treating conditions like rosacea, persistent redness, and vascular birthmarks, thanks to its consistent results and strong safety profile across a variety of skin types.
Vbeam laser treatments are clinically proven to treat:
Vbeam laser treatments can also help with skin rejuvenation by encouraging natural collagen production, leading to a smoother and more even skin tone every time.
Vbeam Laser Treatments for Rosacea and Redness

Vbeam laser treatments are FDA-cleared to address rosacea, reduce skin redness, and minimize the appearance of blood vessels. In fact, clinical trials found that patients with blood vessels on the face saw visual improvements of 75–100% after about 2.6 treatments with a Vbeam 595 nm laser.1
Vbeam Laser Treatments for Vascular Birthmarks

The Vbeam laser system is also FDA-cleared to treat a variety of vascular birthmarks, including port wine stains, hemangiomas (including infantile), and cherry angiomas. Clinical studies involving infants with port wine stains found that the birthmarks cleared 88.6% after a year of treatment with a Vbeam 595 nm laser.2
How Do Vbeam Laser Treatments Work?
Vbeam laser treatments work by delivering controlled pulses of yellow light energy beneath the surface of the skin, targeting the underlying cause of visible redness: dilated or damaged blood vessels. This safely heats and breaks down unwanted or overactive vessels, helping to visibly diminish redness over time while leaving the surrounding skin unaffected.
What makes Vbeam laser treatments especially effective is the advanced technology behind it. The system combines pulsed dye laser energy with built-in cooling features to maximize results while keeping your skin protected and comfortable.
We take a closer look at this innovative technology and the science that powers it below:
Pulsed Dye Laser (PDL)
Vbeam is a pulsed dye laser specifically developed to treat vascular skin concerns. It emits a concentrated beam of yellow light at a 595nm (nanometers) wavelength. This highly specific light wavelength is selectively absorbed by hemoglobin, the red pigment in blood vessels, without affecting surrounding tissue.
Port wine stains, rosacea, broken capillaries, and other vascular skin conditions have high concentrations of hemoglobin, which is why the surface of the skin appears red. During treatments, the hemoglobin absorbs the laser energy, causing the superficial blood vessels to gently heat up and gradually break down.
Over time, your body’s natural healing process clears away these treated vessels, resulting in a visible reduction in redness and a more even, balanced skin tone.
Dynamic Cooling Device™ (DCD™)
To enhance both safety and comfort, the Vbeam laser system features a built-in Dynamic Cooling Device™. Before each pulse of laser energy is delivered, it applies a microscopic layer of cryogen cooling mist to the surface of the skin.
This added cooling helps protect the upper layers of skin from excess heat and minimizes discomfort throughout the treatment.
EverCool™ Contact Cooling
In addition to the cryogen spray, Vbeam also uses an EverCool™ contact cooling technology. This is a specialized metal handpiece that circulates chilled water and stays in direct contact with the skin, providing a continuous cooling effect. By actively drawing heat away from the skin’s surface, it helps protect the outermost layer and surrounding tissue while minimizing discomfort from start to finish.

Complimentary Consultation
During your free consultation, your laser specialist will answer any questions you have and walk you through what to expect. They will talk to you about your personal goals, medical history, and lifestyle to create a personalized treatment plan just for you.
We will provide a clear explanation of how Vbeam laser treatments work, what concerns they can treat, and what kind of results you can expect. We’ll also go over any pre-treatment instructions and post-treatment care, if necessary.
Quick and Comfortable Appointments
Depending on your skin type, condition, and goals, Vbeam laser appointments are typically between 15–30 minutes long and spread out over 2–4 sessions.
Before treatment begins, your provider will assess the target areas and ensure the settings are customized to your skin type and condition. The skin is then cleansed, and protective eyewear is provided for safety.
Once everything is ready, the laser handpiece is gently applied to the treatment area, delivering controlled pulses of light energy to address visible redness beneath the skin. Most patients describe the sensation as a warm and quick snap (like a rubber band) with each pulse.
The Vbeam laser features dual built-in cooling systems to help minimize potential pain during treatment. If requested, we can also apply a topical numbing cream and/or add pro-nox to ensure maximum comfort during treatment.
Aftercare and Recovery
Vbeam laser treatments typically require minimal downtime, with most patients returning to normal activities the same day. In the first 24–48 hours following treatment, it’s important to keep the treated area clean, avoid direct sun, heat, and hold off on harsh skincare products. Use a gentle cleanser and broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily.
After treatment, it’s common to experience mild redness or slight swelling, similar to a light sunburn, which typically subsides within a few hours to a couple of days. Some patients experience some discomfort like bruising, tenderness, or itching at the treatment site. These side effects are usually mild and typically resolve within 3–14 days.
We’ll provide clear, easy to follow aftercare instructions to help you feel confident and comfortable post-treatment.
Vbeam Laser Treatment Results
Vbeam laser treatments deliver gradual yet long-lasting results, with many patients seeing visible improvement after their first session. Results will continue to improve over time as the skin’s natural healing process removes unwanted blood vessels, reducing visible redness in the targeted areas. Full results are typically visible within 4–6 weeks after each session.
The number of treatments needed varies depending on the severity of the concern and individual skin response, but a series of 2–4 sessions is generally recommended for optimal results. Results are long-lasting and may remain for up to 6–12 months. Some vascular skin conditions may benefit from more regular maintenance treatments.
If you’re ready to move beyond temporary fixes and address redness at the source, Vbeam laser treatments offer a clinically proven, effective path forward.
