Chemical peels are topically applied acids. They create a uniform and controlled exfoliation designed to even out skin discoloration. As a result, skin becomes brighter, smoother, and more youthful in general.
Chemical Peels Treat:
- Melasma (hyperpigmentation)
- Acne and/or acne scarring
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Sun-damaged skin and age-spots
- Uneven tone and/or texture
Artemedica’s 3 Types of Chemical Peels
We offer 3 different types of chemical peels that vary in strength and downtime. This full range of superficial peels can help your complexion appear more uniform and renewed. Diminish the appearance of fine lines. Erase wrinkles. Smooth out skin roughness. Consult with one of our Aestheticians to determine which of our chemical peel services is best for you.
Illuminize Peel
The Illuminize is our gentlest chemical peel. It provides the brightening, tightening, and glow that you desire. This particular chemical peel is especially great for immediate events or just want to reveal the look of more youthful skin.
The Illuminize peel combines alpha-hydroxy acids with phytic acid and two of the most common peeling agents: salicylic acid and resorcinol. The combination of these ingredients maximizes skin rejuvenating effects with little to no irritation.
This is a great peel for people who are new to chemical peels. It’s also appropriate for clients with mild skin imperfections or patients that are looking for brighter, more radiant skin with no downtime. And because the Illuminize Peel has such a short downtime, it’s also great for those who have an event the same day.
Vitalize Peel
The Vitalize is our most popular peel. It is appropriate for patients with mild-to-moderate skin imperfections. This includes conditions like skin aging and sun exposure, such as fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone and texture.
Vitalize Peel treatments also addresses skin discoloration and unevenness caused by acne scarring and melasma. The Vitalize Peel incorporates 3 key ingredients including: lactic acid, resorcinol, and salicylic acid. In addition to improving skin tone and texture and reducing fine lines, the Vitalize Peel has been clinically proven to reduce pigmentation (such as age spots). Plus, as an added benefit, this peel stimulates collagen production.
With Vitalize, you’re able to see results in just one peel! However, we do recommend treatments performed in a series every 4-6 weeks for best results.
Rejuvenize Peel
The Rejuvenize is our deepest professional-grade chemical peel and penetrates deep into the surface layers of the skin. It’s most appropriate for those with moderate to severe skin imperfections such as sun damage, melasma, acne scarring, fine lines, and wrinkles.
This peel delivers brighter, smoother and healthier appearing skin. The key ingredient in this peel is Isoceteth acid. Isoceteth acid penetrates deep within the skin to target moderate and severe skin conditions. These include severe pigmentation and acne scarring. The Aestheticians at Artemedica recommend multiple treatments performed every 6-8 weeks for lasting results.
We will give you instructions to care for your skin at home following your treatment. We will also give you recommendations for effective products to maintain the results of your peel. Results may vary from patient to patient.
